It’s NC Pea season!

These are English Peas, which are the style that need to be shelled as the pods are too fibrous to eat, unlike Sugar Snaps (which are also available).

I always think of English Pea shelling begin a social activity - remembering sitting around the table in the kitchen as a child with my Aunts shelling and listening to them talk. Grab a friend & shell - there’s nothing quite like a fresh pea.

Great on their own or as salad toppers!
