We initially began growing flowers to ensure that our apiary had plenty of organic food sources. The bees loved our flowers - and so did our community! Did you know that emerging research shows that flowers bloom more radiantly & abundantly when in the presence of bees? We’re proof in the pudding!
As the flower part of our farm bloomed (literally), we became aware of the growing need for local flowers in the US. Did you know that 80% of all flowers purchased in the United States are imported from other countries - and they are heavily fumigated with chemicals at the border. Local flower farmers offer fresher flowers that last longer, unique cuts that don’t ship well (aka dahlias) and a reduced environmental impact via less carbon footprint & chemical use.
